Holiday Must Haves--Healthy Eating!

Most people who are concerned about their eating habits either give up altogether on eating healthy or guilt themselves when they "fail" their diets during the holidays.

Whether you are hosting the parties or attending them, it is possible to eat healthy during the holidays, and still enjoy your favorite holiday foods.

Read more for a few quick tips…

When attending parties:

Do you love Aunt Sarah's pumpkin roll?  Allow yourself a small portion!  Trying to avoid your favorites altogether will only increase your cravings, and more than likely you will end up overindulging.

Enjoy the turkey, avoid the gravy.

Fill your plate more with fruits and veggies.

When hosting the party:

Bring on the veggies: green beans, sweet potatoes, squash—all are loaded with great vitamins.  Season them lightly to avoid unnecessary fats!

Cranberry sauce:  serve fresh to avoid extra sugars added to canned sauce.  Cranberries can fight urinary tract infections.   They may even lower cholesterol levels.

Chocolate for the holidays:  serve dark chocolate, look for at least 70% cocoa.

Green holiday clean-up:

Before and after your holiday event, spruce up your home with Harmony All Natural Aromatherapy Cleaners.  Safe, non-toxic and residue free cleaners.  Harmony's 100% all natural cleaners protect even the most sensitive guests because Harmony All Natural Aromatherapy Cleaners are completely all natural—did we just say that!
