21 Day Challenge for a Greener Clean Home: Part Two

End the cycle of weekend catch up green cleaning and organizing.

Take control of your stuff and stop allowing it to control you!

One way to do this is by turning your closets into cash!  Here's how…

Step One:
Remove everything from the closets.  Lay it all out in the room so you can view everything.

Step Two:
If you have not used an item in the past 6 months, box it up.  Label the box according to the contents in it.  If you believe 95% or greater that you will not need the contents within the year then have a yard/garage sale and turn the stuff in your closets into cash.

Step Three:
Wash down the closet shelves and walls with 100%all-natural, sustainable and aromatherapy green cleaners.  Harmony Aromatherapy Multi-Purpose Cleaner will leave your closet clean and smelling refreshing with its 100% lavender essential oil scent.

Step Four:
When putting items back into the closets, be sure to utilize your closet space in the best practical way.  Your closet's contents should reflect a purpose that fits the location.

Step Five:
Do steps one through four with each closet in your home.

When our homes are overstuffed with stuff, we fight a losing battle of trying to manage it all through organization.  Yes, home organization is a must, but a simplified, uncluttered home is much easier to keep green cleaned and organized.

Once your closets have been purged, take the 21 Day Challenge for a Greener Clean Home to heart.  Stay on top of keeping your closets under your control and not vice versa.

Try out this rule in your home:

For every new purchase, a similar object or two needs to leave your home.  For example, for every new article of clothing I purchase I give away one or two articles of clothing.  This keeps my dresser drawers and closet manageable and under my control!  This is a great life lesson for your children as well!
Happy free from cleaning--weekends!
