Clutter-Free for Life!

It is said that people are "creatures of habit."  Sometimes our habits can even run generationally.  Do you have a habit of struggling with clutter?  Did you come from a home that often seemed to be cluttered?  Though we are creatures of habit, we can change our habits to form more productive routines of green, clutter-free living.

Getting out of the clutter- habit is a matter of the mind.  To be successful in creating a habit of clutter-free living consider the following preparation questions...

How great is your desire to change?
My husband and I when wondering how our children feel about a situation, subject or desire; will ask them to rank how they feel using a scale from 1-5 (1 = the least,  5= the greatest).  Scales often help our family make more honest self-evaluations.  How would you rank your desire to be clutter-free?

Why do you desire to be clutter-free?

Will it assist you in managing your time?  Reduce stress?

Will this involve an overall overhaul, or is the clutter contained to a particular area of your home or office?

Does staying clutter-free involve the cooperative help of the whole family, office staff?

If yes, how will you get everyone on board to participate?

How much time would it involve to eliminate the clutter?

What habits (routines) do you need to put into place to maintain a clutter-free home or office?

Thinking through these and similar preparation questions are the first steps toward success!  Elimination of clutter and implementation of habits that keep clutter at bay will give you renewed energy both physically and emotionally!

If you have made the change from standard cleaners to all-natural, non-toxic cleaners; you are already reaping the benefits of this new habit!  Take the next step in healthy green living and become clutter-free!

"Although it can be challenging to change ingrained behaviors,
when you focus on all you have to gain, it's easier to succeed."
