Do-able Green Resolutions for 2015

A new year brings new hopes, dreams and plans.  If you are like most people, you have some resolutions brewing in your mind.  Though grand resolutions are noble, they often fall flat.  Make sure your goals for the new year are in the realm of reality.  Consider each year as a building block that the next year can be built upon.  Over time your grand resolutions can become realities.

Harmony Aromatherapy's Eight Do-able Resolutions:

1.) Plan more family time together.  This can be as simple as having at least a couple evening meals together as a family.  Step it up and block off two or three entire evenings each week to spend with your family.

2.) Use ONLY 100% all natural, sustainable green cleaners.  Use Harmony Aromatherapy Cleaners.  If you have been reluctant to pitch your chemical cleaners, make this the year for that healthy change in how you clean!  Get familiar with Harmony's line of green cleaners @ Harmony Store

3.) Get your home organized BEFORE spring cleaning season. This will help you get through your spring cleaning more quickly and on to what you really want to be doing.

4.) Use reusable shopping bags when shopping.  Keep your reusable shopping bags in a place near your driver's seat.  Doing this will assist you in actually taking your bags into the store and utilizing them!

5.) Say "No!" to bottled water.  This is one of the easiest ways to help the environment and cut down on landfill waste.  If you enjoy drinking water out of a bottle, make the switch to a reusable bottle.  (Green clean it with Harmony Dish Wash.)

6.) Walk more often.  For short errands close to home, walk instead of drive.  If feasible, walk to work or at least take a walk around the block after dinner.  Doing this will help you feel better and energize both mind and body.

7.) Line-dry your clothing.  Line drying is better on your clothing and saves you in electric/gas costs.  Living in a northern, Midwest state poses a challenge for line-drying clothing during the winter months, so I use a drying rack instead.

8.) Plant a garden this year.  If gardening is a normal part of your life, consider helping a friend/neighbor start a garden this year.  Look for more ways to naturally fertilize and fight pests in your garden.

May your 2015 be a year of intentionally developing better habits
 toward healthy green living!
