Five Ways NOT to Green Your St. Patrick's Day!

Can't we lighten up and not worry about what we are doing to the environment or to ourselves for just ONE DAY! 

 

Don't "Green" St. Patricks' Day...

1. Serve guests bottled water.

2. Serve guest non-organic adult beverages

3. Purchase brand-new plastic decorations.  Collect all decorations after the party and throw them out.

4. Purchase plastic tablecloths, serving platters, and tableware.  Throw it all out after the party.

5. Serve guests foods containing chemically green colored foods, loaded with preservatives.

Well…

If one family in your neighborhood had that mentality, ok, it would not be a huge deal.  What if everyone in your neighborhood believed that?  Compound it with everyone in your city, would it be a big deal then?"  Our landfills would fill up in no time.  How much waste and toxic exposures would we face?

ENJOY St. Patrick's Day!!  Don't throw out "for just one day," your care and concern for yourself, your family and the environment.

Your party can still be festive and attractive with sustainable décor, and when the last guest leaves wrap up the party by using sustainable, non-toxic green cleaners!
